"as we pursue our journeys, let us ever bear in mind that in life there are stations, there are departures, calls, schedules, and opportunities for being sidetracked and diverted. wise is the individual who follows in His, the Savior's path. safety and joy belong to those who will come and follow Him. I bear witness that God is eternal. we are eternal, and God never intended for us to travel alone. —Elder Marvin J. Ashton
the above quote from Elder Ashton spoke straight to my heart! there have been many times in my life where I have felt a lack of direction (probably more often than I should admit) but I always have trusted in my path and the knowledge that He has a plan for me. the last few weeks especially, I have been struggling with feeling so stationary along my path. I know I have so much potential and there are so many opportunities out there for me and it's just a matter of figuring out where I need to be + what I need to be doing. I have been sincerely praying for divine direction and guidance for my personal life. I have felt more peace and happiness in my life, but still a lack of answers. instead of getting discouraged I was reminded by darling President Uchtdorf that, "God cares about you. He will listen, and He will answer your personal questions. the answers to your prayers will come in His own way and in His own time, and therefore, you need to learn to listen to His voice."
I wrote this post^^ on my personal blog a few months ago and I needed the simple reminder today that I am never alone on this journey and through Him my personal questions will be answered. I wanted to add a little and share it because I think it's relevant in each and every one of our lives no matter where we are headed.
I have so much hope for the future and I know someday soon I will receive the answers I have been praying for. I live such a happy, blessed life and I know "if [I] seek God's truth, that which now may appear dim, out of focus, and distant will gradually be revealed and clarified and become close to [my] heart by the light of God's grace. glorious spiritual vistas, unimaginable to the human eye, will be revealed to [me]" —President Dieter F. Uchtdorf
